Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking Act Grants (Funding Opportunity)

The purpose of this program (PDF, 78 pages) is to prevent and reduce alcohol use among youth and young adults ages 12-20 in communities throughout the United States. SAMHSA is seeking applicants who will create a program that aims to:

Address norms regarding alcohol use by youth

Reduce opportunities for underage drinking

Create changes in underage drinking enforcement efforts

Address penalties for underage use

Reduce negative consequences associated with underage drinking (e.g., motor vehicle crashes, sexual assaults)
Approximately 50 rewards of up to $60,000 per reward will be granted. Domestic public and private non-profit entities that are current or former Drug Free Communities (DFC) Support Program recipients are eligible to apply. Learn more and apply.
