FEMA’s Youth Preparedness Council is comprised of a set of youth leaders who participate in a community preparedness events and voice their opinions, experiences, ideas, solutions, and questions on youth disaster preparedness with the leadership of national organizations working on youth preparedness. This is the first ever FEMA youth-led Council, comprised of 13 members and one chair. The group attended its inaugural meeting in Washington D.C. in August, 2012.
