AmeriCorps NCCC and the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program
Lessons Learned
Use effective marketing tools. Language used and the sharing of information while engaging new initiative members is important for establishing buy-in and growth. Moving forward, NCCC plans to alter its approach to introducing new members to the program, and better highlight the benefits that collaborations with other programs offer to all NCCC members. The ChalleNGe Program is also looking to share more information about its partnership with the NCCC with its cadets, mentors, and parents in order to scale up the collaboration and both programs’ effectiveness.
