Pathways to Safer Opioid Use is a new, interactive training that teaches healthcare providers how to implement opioid-related recommendations from the HHS National Action Plan for Adverse Drug Event Prevention (PDF, 190 pages). During the training, users assume the role of four characters — pharmacist, physician, patient, and nurse — and make decisions about preventing adverse drug events related to opioid use. Free continuing medical education (CME) credit is available to participants who complete the course.
