QuickStats: Death Rates for Teens Aged 15–19 Years, by Sex — National Vital Statistics System, United States, 1999–2013
This report illustrates death rates for teens, aged 15-19 years, between 1999 and 2013. The overall death rate for teens decreased 34.7% during the study period. The study found that three leading causes of death in 2013 were unintentional injuries, suicide, and homicide.
