Webcast Archive: Make the Connection: How Positive Youth Development Offers Promise for Teen Health and Teen Pregnancy Prevention

Two Video Series: Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs Matter
Two new video series address what works for teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) and the impact of TPP programs on the lives of adolescents. The first series provides a personal look at TPP programs in local communities. The initial video highlights Sé tú mismo (Be Yourself), a positive youth development program for Latino youth in Washington, D.C., and Montgomery County, Maryland, and includes the perspective of teens in the program. The second video series features OAH staff and partners answering frequently asked questions about TPP, including information on why U.S. organizations should focus on TPP and where the country is on this issue.
Reports: OAH Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program Evaluation Findings
These reports illustrate the findings of 41 rigorous evaluations conducted from 2010 to 2015 through the OAH Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program. The results from these evaluations can help local communities select and implement pregnancy prevention programs that are a good fit and likely to have the greatest impact.

These profiles describe the programs of 25 PAF grantees working in 17 states and with two tribes. Communities can use this information to evaluate what strategies may be successful in their settings.
Tribal Justice and Safety
The site features the latest announcements, press releases, speeches and information regarding Department of Justice initiatives in tribal communities. It also provides comprehensive resources available through the Office of Tribal Justice and the Department's grant-making divisions: the Office of Justice Programs, Community Oriented Policing Services and the Office on Violence Against Women. Access to the Department's Combined Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) is also available on the Web site.

This report (PDF, 166 pages) describes a recent multi-method, multi-site study using interviews with more than 900 youth involved in the sex trade to better understand the lives and needs of these youth.

This report (PDF, 166 pages) provides an overview of a multi-site study of youth involvement in the commercial sex trade. It includes information from nearly 1,000 youth interviews, arrest patterns, and prosecution and recidivism outcomes for these youth, and findings from interviews with service providers and police officers.
Faces of Human Trafficking Video Series
This video series provides information about sex and labor trafficking, multidisciplinary approaches to serving survivors of human trafficking, effective services, legal needs, and voices of survivors. The sixth video in the series specifically highlights the vulnerabilities, risk factors, and needs of youth, with a focus on the diverse range of professionals who are in a position to identify exploited youth and connect them with appropriate services. Service providers, law enforcement professionals, prosecutors, and others in the community can use this series to learn more about this important issue and their role in preventing and addressing it.
