Resource: International Data Explorer (IDE) Updated with New Data
This IDE update includes data from the 2015 administration of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and TIMSS Advanced, which assess students’ mathematics and science knowledge and skills. The IDE is an online, interactive tool that allows users to explore international study data and create customized tables, charts, maps, and analyses.

Report: High School Students’ Views on Who Influences Their Thinking about Education and Careers
This report examines who public high school students view as their main influence when they are considering postsecondary education and careers. Results show students relied on family members as the main influence when thinking about postsecondary education, and students relied on themselves primarily when thinking about careers.

This online training tool allows users to learn about the NCES data products across the education spectrum and evaluate them for their particular purposes. Researchers, students, policy specialists and analysts, and education professionals can use the training tool to learn about NCES datasets, their design, and special considerations for analysis to facilitate effective use.
Report: 2015–16 National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS:16): Student Financial Aid Estimates
This publication provides the first results of the NPSAS:16, the most comprehensive nationally representative survey of student financing of postsecondary education in the U.S. It describes the percentages of students receiving various types of financial aid and average amounts received, by type of institution attended, attendance pattern, dependency status, and income level.

This clearinghouse helps providers identify, select, and implement evidence-based programs and practices to address wide-ranging family and mental health issues. The searchable database includes effective and promising intervention programs as well as resources and strategies to ensure the welfare of military families.
Education: A Key Social Determinant
In response to data reflecting low graduation rates among some racial and ethnic minorities, the Institute for Research and Reform in Education developed First Things First (FTF) a comprehensive school reform initiative. FTF aims to engage students intellectually and emotionally in their schools through instructional improvement, small learning communities, and family and student advocacy systems. FTF is currently implemented in schools throughout the country, reaching over 60,000 students, and successfully increasing high school graduation rates.

Federal Resource Center for Special Education
The Federal Resource Center for Special Education supports the work of the six OSEP-funded Regional Resource Centers (RRCs) that provide technical assistance (TA) to assist states in complying with IDEA and to implement evidence-based educational practices.

National Dropout Prevention Center for Students with Disabilities
The National Dropout Prevention Center for Students with Disabilities (NDPC-SD) supports the national implementation of provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to provide successful school outcomes for students with disabilities. NDPC-SD supports states in assisting local education agencies to increase school completion rates and decrease dropout rates among students with disabilities.
National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities
Resources developed by the National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities are now housed by the Center for Parent Information and Resources.
