America’s Natural and Cultural Resources Volunteer Portal: Volunteer.gov
Volunteer.gov is America's Natural and Cultural Resources Volunteer Portal built and maintained by the Federal Interagency Team on Volunteerism (FITV) that is comprised of volunteer program coordinators from three Cabinet level departments. Since its initial deployment in 2002, the Portal has grown into a strategic alliance of governmental partners from all levels - local, State, and Federal Government dedicated to serving the volunteer community by populating this e-Government site with volunteer positions and events for citizens interested in volunteer service benefitting our Nation's resources.

IACP Launches No-Cost Online Training on Child Trafficking
The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), in collaboration with COPS and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children Section, released “Child Sex Trafficking: A Training Series for Frontline Officers.” This free, self-paced online course will educate frontline officers on how to recognize and respond to victims of child sex trafficking.
Promise Neighborhoods
To address the challenges faced by students living in communities of concentrated poverty, Promise Neighborhoods grantees and their partner organizations will plan to provide services from early learning to college and career, including programs to improve the health, safety, and stability of neighborhoods, and boost family engagement in student learning.

These iGuides provide policymakers and practitioners with 10 steps to consider when implementing a program or practice. Organized in to three general categories — Start, Support, and Secure — iGuides offer communities tips and action-oriented recommendations to help identify problems, develop the best solutions, and lay the groundwork for successful implementation.

It includes information from nearly 1,000 youth interviews, arrest patterns, and prosecution and recidivism outcomes for these youth, and findings from interviews with service providers and police officers.
Faces of Human Trafficking Video Series
This video series provides information about sex and labor trafficking, multidisciplinary approaches to serving survivors of human trafficking, effective services, legal needs, and voices of survivors. The sixth video in the series specifically highlights the vulnerabilities, risk factors, and needs of youth, with a focus on the diverse range of professionals who are in a position to identify exploited youth and connect them with appropriate services. Service providers, law enforcement professionals, prosecutors, and others in the community can use this series to learn more about this important issue and their role in preventing and addressing it.
