NIH-Funded Study: Bullying Decreases among Middle School and High School Students
Published in the American Journal of Public Health, a NIH-funded study found that bullying among students in grades six through 10 declined significantly between 1998 and 2010. A less dramatic decline in fighting among students was also observed. As part of this podcast, the study’s lead author explains the findings and their implications for policy and practice.
Interns Graduate Project SEARCH-NIH Program, Eight Hired at NIH
Project SEARCH interns gathered on June 5, 2015, to celebrate their graduation from the program and their transition from interns to NIH staff members. This free app serves as a digital child ID kit that lets parents save children’s information, including photos and digital fingerprint images, to help law enforcement in the case of an emergency. The app, developed by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, also includes a search feature for current missing children and the latest news, media, and child safety tips.
