WIC Agencies Recognized for Supporting Breastfeeding Mothers
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack recognized state and local agencies of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) that excel in offering education and support for breastfeeding mothers. USDA also presented outstanding breastfeeding programs with WIC Breastfeeding Performance Bonuses, awarded to agencies and organizations that have demonstrated successful breastfeeding promotion and support efforts, and the WIC Loving Support Awards of Excellence, which honored WIC agencies utilizing the USDA Loving Support Model for successful peer counseling programs.

The searchable database includes effective and promising intervention programs as well as resources and strategies to ensure the welfare of military families.
Public -Private Partnership Launches New AmeriCorps Program to Help Communities Build Resilience
CNCS, DOE, EPA, NOAA, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Cities of Service announced a new commitment to launch the Resilience AmeriCorps pilot program. Resilience AmeriCorps will help communities plan and implement efforts necessary to become more resilient to shocks and stresses, including extreme weather and other impacts of climate change. AmeriCorps VISTA members will serve in up to 12 communities in 2015-2016 to support the development of resilience strategies.

The White House has launched disasters.data.gov, a public resource to foster collaboration and the continual improvement of disaster-related open data, free tools, and new ways to empower survivors, first responders, and all levels of government with critical information and resources.
Share With Youth: Promoting Bullying Prevention Awareness in the Sikh American Community
On June 8, 2015, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and the Sikh Coalition held a Bullying Prevention Sikh Google Hangout. As part of her capstone project in the E3! Ambassadors Program, White House intern Naureen Singh organized the discussion to educate Sikh American youth, parents, and community organizers about the resources available from the federal government to combat bullying.
Survey on Bullying of AAPI Students
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Bullying Prevention Task Force created a survey to gather information about what bullying of AAPI students looks like, who is being bullied, on what basis, and whether AAPI students are talking to adults and peers in their schools and communities about the bullying they experience. Survey responses will inform the direction of the AAPI Task Force in the coming months.
