Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance in the United States in 2013
Released by the Census Bureau, this report illustrates key indicators of poverty and family income. The report shows that the overall poverty rate fell 14.5% in 2013, and the poverty rate for people under age 18 fell 1.9% from 2012 to 2013, which is equivalent to 1.4 million young people lifted out of poverty.

Blue Campaign
The Blue Campaign is the unified voice for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS’s) efforts to combat human trafficking. DHS is responsible for investigating human trafficking, arresting traffickers, and protecting victims. DHS also provides immigration relief to foreign-born victims of human trafficking. Working in collaboration with law enforcement, government, and nongovernmental and private organizations, the Blue Campaign strives to protect the basic right of freedom and to bring those who exploit human lives to justice. Teen CERT: Community Emergency Response Team
The Teen CERT training program teaches youth readiness and response skills. Hands-on practice and realistic exercises prepare youth for the unexpected in their community. Newly learned leadership skills will empower youth to safely respond to an emergency and assist victims without endangering themselves or others.
Lost Person Behavior Mobile App
The Lost Person Behavior mobile app provides step-by-step instructions on search plans for first responders and response teams involved in missing person searches. Designed using data from more than 150,000 missing person cases across the country, the app provides guidance for more than 40 different scenarios, including lost children.

This website provides information on the Blue Campaign, a unified effort from DHS, working in collaboration with law enforcement, government, non-governmental, and private organizations to combat human trafficking. The campaign aims to raise awareness about human trafficking, leverage partnerships to educate the public to recognize and report trafficking, train law enforcement to detect and investigate human trafficking, protect survivors, and bring suspected traffickers to justice.

First Lady Michelle Obama invited 50 Girl Scouts from Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Washington, DC, to participate in the first-ever White House Campout on the South Lawn. This event celebrated the National Park Service centennial, and promoted getting kids and families outdoors as part of Let's Move! Outside.
