Reintegration of ExOffenders Program
The Department of Labor's Reintegration of Ex-Offenders (RExO) Program targets court-involved youth, young adults, and adult ex-offenders through a variety of discretionary grant awards. Organizations partner with juvenile and adult justice systems to assist in providing employment and training to this population of individuals who may find it difficult to obtain employment or training without additional assistance. Projects support a comprehensive strategy for serving youth in a local area to which many are returning from juvenile correctional or detention facilities. Both the adult and youthful offender grants serve as demonstration projects for improving communities with high rates of crime and poverty.

This 90-day report outlines the initial recommendations developed by the My Brother’s Keeper Task Force and offers a blueprint for action by government, business, nonprofit, philanthropic, faith and community partners.
Premiere of Student Submissions to White House Film Festival
The 2015 White House Film Festival received more than 1,500 submissions from K-12 students who created short films about the theme, “The Impact of Giving Back.” On March 20, 2015, the official top selections were shown at The White House, and the screening was streamed live online.

The Resource Guide compiles guidance, tools, model policies and procedures, training and technical assistance, funding opportunities, and public messaging materials concerning campus sexual assault.

Resource: White House Summer Opportunity Project
This fact sheet describes new steps to advance the White House Summer Opportunity Project to increase young people’s access to summer programming and employment. The project includes $21 million in grants to 11 communities to connect disadvantaged young people with jobs, as well as the launch of 16 Summer Impact Hubs, which are communities that will receive support to expand their summer jobs, meals, and violence reduction programs.
