Office of Violence Against Women
The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), a component of the U.S. Department of Justice, provides national leadership in developing the nation's capacity to reduce violence against women through the implementation of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
Protecting Children in Cyberspace: The ICAC Task Force Program
The ICAC Program can help State and local law enforcement agencies to develop an effective response to online enticement and child pornography cases.
Project iGuardian
ICE, in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, launched Project iGuardian, a cyber safety campaign aimed at combatting online child sexual exploitation. Project iGuardian partners visit schools and youth groups across the nation, educating students and parents about avoiding risk and staying safe online.
School Violence: Echoes From the Digital Playgrounds
Developed by the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance, the purpose of this publication is to educate school administrators, school resource officers, and law enforcement personnel about the relationship between online communities, such as video games and virtual worlds, and violent behavior and to provide strategies that can be used to improve school safety.
Special Feature: Campus Safety
The National Criminal Justice Reference Service created special feature on topics related to campus safety, which includes publications and resources about crime, safety, violence prevention, and substance abuse.
Spanish Language Resource: Abducted Children
The Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has released a Spanish translation of a publication for youth who were abducted as children and are working towards recovery.
Internet Safety
DHS’s Stop.Think.Connect website was developed to increase awareness of cybercrimes such as identity theft, cyberbullying, and cyber stalking, and provide best practices to avoid these issues and stay protected online. DHS’s OnGuardOnline offers tips for talking to children and teens about staying safe online.
Resource Guide to Combat Sexual Violence on College and University Campuses
This Resource Guide supports the efforts of students, faculty, administrators, and communities around the country to prevent sexual violence and improve the response to it at colleges and universities. The Resource Guide compiles guidance, tools, model policies and procedures, training and technical assistance, funding opportunities, and public messaging materials concerning campus sexual assault.
Resource: White House Summer Opportunity Project
This fact sheet describes new steps to advance the White House Summer Opportunity Project to increase young people’s access to summer programming and employment. The project includes $21 million in grants to 11 communities to connect disadvantaged young people with jobs, as well as the launch of 16 Summer Impact Hubs, which are communities that will receive support to expand their summer jobs, meals, and violence reduction programs.

This free app serves as a digital child ID kit that lets parents save children’s information, including photos and digital fingerprint images, to help law enforcement in the case of an emergency. The app, developed by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, also includes a search feature for current missing children and the latest news, media, and child safety tips.
