Choice Neighborhoods
The Choice Neighborhoods initiative will transform distressed neighborhoods and public and assisted projects into viable and sustainable mixed-income neighborhoods by linking housing improvements with appropriate services, schools, public assets, transportation, and access to jobs. A strong emphasis will be placed on local community planning for access to high-quality educational opportunities, including early childhood education. In addition to public housing authorities, the initiative will involve local governments, non-profits, and for-profit developers in undertaking comprehensive local planning with residents and the community.
Healthy Homes Website
The Healthy Homes program provides homeowners and rental property owners with practical information about how to prevent health and safety hazards. Specific problems such as asthma, allergies and mold are discussed.

Share With Youth: Promoting Bullying Prevention Awareness in the Sikh American Community
On June 8, 2015, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and the Sikh Coalition held a Bullying Prevention Sikh Google Hangout. As part of her capstone project in the E3! Ambassadors Program, White House intern Naureen Singh organized the discussion to educate Sikh American youth, parents, and community organizers about the resources available from the federal government to combat bullying.
Survey on Bullying of AAPI Students
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Bullying Prevention Task Force created a survey to gather information about what bullying of AAPI students looks like, who is being bullied, on what basis, and whether AAPI students are talking to adults and peers in their schools and communities about the bullying they experience. Survey responses will inform the direction of the AAPI Task Force in the coming months.
Resource Guide to Combat Sexual Violence on College and University Campuses
This Resource Guide supports the efforts of students, faculty, administrators, and communities around the country to prevent sexual violence and improve the response to it at colleges and universities. The Resource Guide compiles guidance, tools, model policies and procedures, training and technical assistance, funding opportunities, and public messaging materials concerning campus sexual assault.
Resource: White House Summer Opportunity Project
This fact sheet describes new steps to advance the White House Summer Opportunity Project to increase young people’s access to summer programming and employment. The project includes $21 million in grants to 11 communities to connect disadvantaged young people with jobs, as well as the launch of 16 Summer Impact Hubs, which are communities that will receive support to expand their summer jobs, meals, and violence reduction programs.
