Fact Sheet: Improving Outcomes for Our Nation’s Foster Youth
This fact sheet illustrates the steps that the Obama administration and its federal partners are taking to support foster youth. These efforts include ensuring access to healthy meals, protecting the welfare of Native youth, building financial security, keeping young people out of the justice system, creating paths to employment, supporting educational success, and developing public service and private investment opportunities.
Parental Incarceration and Child Wellbeing: An Annotated Bibliography
This annotated bibliography focuses on quantitative research on the consequences of paternal and maternal incarceration for children that (1) attempts to control for selection using standard statistical techniques, (2) uses broadly representative data, and (3) differentiates consequences of paternal incarceration from consequences of maternal incarceration. Although this bibliography focuses primarily on research in the United States, a small number of studies using data from European countries are also included (and many additional studies in that vein are also included in the further readings section so that interested readers will be able to read more in this area).

Report of the Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence
The National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence published a final report which includes 56 recommendations underscoring the importance of identifying children who are victims of, or witnesses to, violence, and providing services to help them heal.

This toolkit (PDF, 66 pages) includes tips and resources to help current and former foster youth as they transition to adulthood and pursue college and career opportunities. It provides information on important topics like finding a job, managing money, and securing housing.

Resource: Youths with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in the Juvenile Justice System
This literature review (PDF, 10 pages) summarizes research on intellectual and developmental disabilities of youths who are at risk of or who have come into contact with the juvenile justice system. Professionals working in juvenile justice settings can use this resource to better understand the challenges facing young people. Policymakers can also use the review to inform federal policies that pertain to the treatment of youths with disabilities in the juvenile justice system.

National Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center
In conjunction with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, JRSA began developing the National Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center (NJJEC) in 2010. This project follows an earlier JRSA project funded by OJJDP, which concluded in 2005, called the Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center. The purpose of NJJEC is to improve the evaluation capacity of states, tribes, and local communities and facilitate the use of evidence-based programs and practices in juvenile justice.
Performance Measures Resources
This is a one-stop resource for applicants and grantees which offers the ability to review the significance of performance measures in light of relevant federal legislation; assist applicants in developing a logic model that sets goals and objectives for their program; helps applicants select appropriate performance measures and identify pertinent data sources for performance reporting; and enables grantees to report their performance measures online.

Toolkit: Helping Victims of Mass Violence & Terrorism
This toolkit aims to help communities prepare for and respond to victims of mass violence and terrorism in the most timely, effective, and compassionate manner possible. Professionals who are responsible for planning and responding to incidents of mass violence and terrorism can use this toolkit to develop a victim assistance plan, bring key partners together to develop or continue the use of a plan, and establish and implement victim assistance protocols.
