The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $5,000,000 total costs (subject to the availability of Federal funds) for 1 cooperative agreement(s) to fund a technical assistance project to strengthen the capacity of worker organizations (WOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) to increase worker voice and address forced labor, child labor, and other labor violations in cattle raising areas of Brazil and Paraguay. The duration of the project will be a maximum of 48 months from the effective date of the award. Project outcomes include the following:• Outcome 1: Strengthened capacity of worker organizations and civil society organizations to identify labor violations and advocate on behalf of workers in cattle raising areas of Brazil and Paraguay;• Sub-outcome 1.1: Increased organizational resiliency of worker organizations and civil society organizations;• Outcome 2: Increased capacity of worker organizations and civil society organizations to provide services addressing labor violations for workers and their families; and• Outcome 3: Increased worker organization and civil society organization engagement with private sector stakeholders to advocate for better work conditions.
