Youth and school-based health center staff are invited to create short videos that showcase their daily experiences with School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs). These videos can highlight everything from attending appointments, participating in wellness programs, and showcasing SBHC services, to how SBHC has positively impacted participants’ lives.

This knowledge translation project involves memes developed to be relevant to youth and young adults living with mental health conditions. Memes use popular cultural images and simple language to convey meaningful content on social media. Started in 2019, these memes are also posted on the Transitions to Adulthood Center for Research’s social media.

Webinar: Suicide Prevention: Building Protective Factors to Keep Students Safe

Schools and school personnel play a critical role in building protective factors that can reduce the likelihood of young people thinking of suicide. This webinar will give you the latest information on suicide trends among K-12 students. It will also share related risk and protective factors and strategies schools can implement to support suicide prevention based on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' 2024 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. After the presentations, our practitioner and student panelists will talk about strategies they are using to make school climate improvements that build protective factors to prevent suicide.
